Valley Freightliner, Incorporated was recently recognized as one of the nation’s premier Elite Support dealerships at an annual summit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This annual summit is a collection of all of Daimler Trucks North America’s Elite Support Continuous Improvement Coordinators (CIC’s) from across both the US and Canada. With more than 160 CIC’s in attendance, Valley Freightliner received two awards for excellence in continuous improvement events. The first award was awarded to Aaron Porter, Continuous Improvement Coordinator at VFI’s Olympia location, for efforts on a project designed to eliminate wasteful steps and processing fees in the dealerships credit card handling process. The second award also went to Valley Freightliner’s Olympia location for excellence in Change Management. All three of Valley Freightliner’s locations have formalized Change Management meetings designed specifically to identify areas where waste is detected and improvement is needed. These meetings focus on continuous improvement ideas that often result in increased customer satisfaction, improved employee morale, increased profitability and the elimination of waste.
“Valley Freightliner, Incorporated is committed to being a world class dealership, as validated by our customers.” says Jerrad Avery, Olympia’s Branch Manager. “We support and encourage a culture of continuous improvement, idea sharing, and waste elimination with the hopes that we are providing our customers and our employees with the very best experience each and every day. We are proud to be recognized amongst the more than 150 Elite Support certified dealers across North America and also proud of the improvements we’ve made in our dealerships.” Valley Freightliner, Inc. continues to make continuous improvement a part of their identity and everyday life. This is the third year in a row that Valley Freightliner, Incorporated has been recognized nationally for their efforts in continuous improvement.
