Valley Freightliner (VFI), the Northwest’s premier Freightliner dealer, with headquarters in Pacific, Washington, is pleased to announce the acquisition of five truck centers from Pacific Power Group (PPG) of Ridgefield, Washington.
With the addition of PPG’s Oregon locations in Coburg, Redmond and Medford, as well as its Kapolei, Hawaii location, VFI expands to 11 full-service Freightliner dealerships. In addition, PPG’s Detroit Diesel distributorship in Ridgefield, Washington was acquired along with the Detroit Diesel Distributor rights for Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii and the pan handle of Idaho.
As a part of the transaction, VFI also becomes a full-service Western Star dealer in Olympia, Washington and maintains that status in Coburg, Oregon. VFI has also acquired Pacific’s four FUSO truck franchises in Oregon and Hawaii. This acquisition further expands VFI’s position as the largest Freightliner, Detroit Diesel and aftermarket sales and service provider in the Pacific Northwest, including new and used commercial truck and trailer sales, service, parts, maintenance and equipment financing.
The acquired truck centers will continue to operate as Pacific Truck Centers, a division of Valley Freightliner, to minimize the impact to customers, employees and vendors.
Tim Price, President of PPG commented, “On behalf of the owners and entire management team of Pacific Power Group, I would like to thank once again all of the Pacific employees impacted by this transaction for their relentless focus on taking care of the customer over the last several months. We wish each of them, the Gordon family, and the VFI management team all the best.”
Scott Gordon, President of Valley Freightliner commented, “We are very excited to expand our representation of Daimler Trucks of North America today with the completion of our third acquisition in five months. Pacific Truck Centers has a long history of providing excellent service to its customers with very dedicated and talented employees. We are looking forward to the opportunity to share ideas and learn from one another as we look to bring consistency in our approach to serving our customers and growing market share.”
